J2FC Final Fixture
All roads lead to Cusack Park this Saturday to see our second team line out in the Junior 2 County Final. This is a huge achievement for the club as the lads have work tirelessly behind the scenes throughout the year.
The lads have battled their way through a number of tough games on the road to the final including beating their upcoming opponents by the narrowest of margins in their last group stage game. Their commitment, determination and hard work throughout the year has been unwavering, and they have gone from strength to strength as a team.
Now, just one more hurdle stands in their way as they face St. Mary’s Rochfortbridge in Cusack Park this Saturday at 2pm.
We’re calling on ALL our supporters to get behind the lads and create a sea of support for this momentous occasion.
We wish our lads and their management team of Philip Rainey, Adam Donoghue, Mark Fitzpatrick, Conor Muldoon & James Hickey the very best of luck.

Girls Minor Championship Round 3
Caulry 6-13
Killucan 3-4
Our minor girls wrapped up the round robin stages of their championship with a comprehensive win over Killucan in the park on Sunday morning last.
Kelly Lynam quickly set the tempo of the game when she opened with a goal and a pointed-free. The opposition drew two points back then up their end of the field with consecutive scores on the 7th and 8th minutes. A trio of points stretched our lead with Amelia Nally and Erin O’Faolain (two) putting their names on the scoresheet. Karrissa Burns and Lynam pocketed our hattrick of goals then as our girls completely took charge of proceedings. Before the halftime whistle, our girls added a flurry of points from Chloe Doyle, Aoife McDermott, Grace Shortall and Lynam. Burns also added her second goal of the game to leave Killucan with a tough task in the second half.
Our girls restarted the second half well with Lynam and O’Faolain adding points. Substitute Ellie Buckley did very well as she rattled the back of the opposition’s net within three minutes of being introduced. Tara Collins pointed on the 39th minute before Killucan got a resurgence between the 40th and 49th minutes as they added an unanswered tally of 2-2. Buckley managed to stall the visitor’s comeback then as she kicked out sixth and final goal of the game. Before the fulltime whistle, our girls added 0-1 to Killucan’s 1-0 as ultimately, they had done enough to get over the line.
