Intermediate Championship
Caulry 3-10
Tyrrellspass 0-14
Caulry continued their winning start to the Ladies Intermediate championship picking up a second victory on the road in Tyrrellspass. Once again this game proved an exciting and intense contest showcasing the best in ladies football with all the skills and positively making it an entertainment spectacle.
The home side were quickly into their stride and it looked very ominous when after 17 minutes they led 0-9 to 0-1. In truth Caulry were unlucky with their shooting up to this stage and should have been closer on the scoreboard. However some astute positional switches and use of the bench allowed Caulry steady the ship. Then in a devasting spell, Caulry completely turned the game on its head with three quick fire goals expertly finished by Ava Hallissy twice and Aine Gaynor following great teamplay. The interval gave both teams and spectators time to draw breath with the score standing 3-4 to 0-10 in our favour.
The second half saw Caulry control and manage the game with Aine Gaynor kicking two wonderous points to kick start the momentum. The home side battled away but two amazing saves by goalkeeper Jade Harney kept our goal intact at a vital stage and the continuing uplift provided by the Caulry subs bench allowed us see out the match, even affording the luxury of missing a penalty which came back of the post.
Another great stand out and cohesive team performance by all the Caulry girls who now host championship favourites, Coralstown Kinnegad on this coming Thursday evening.

Minor Championship
Caulry 7-6
St. Loman's 6-18
Caulry played St Loman's in the minor championship on Monday last. It was a perfect evening for a game and both teams served up a beautiful game of football. Loman's started off the stronger but Caulry stuck to the task and with a bit more composure in front on goals could have bagged a few more 3 pointers. The score at halftime was Loman's 5-8 to Caulry 3-5. The second half continued in the same vein with some great scores put on the scoreboard but in the end, Loman's ran out winners on a final score of 6-18 to 7-6.
