All roads lead to Ballynacargy on Sunday afternoon next to see our ladies line out in the semi final of the IFC. Our girls will battle it out against Loughnavalley and throw-in for the game is 12pm. These sides have met twice already this year in league and championship, with our girls having the upper hand on both occasions previously. However, this clash is the most important to date as our girls have their sights set on an inaugural county final spot. We wish the girls and their management the very best of luck. 

All supporters are asked to get behind our girls on the day. 

Well done to our U16 boys who secured themselves a semi final spot when they came away 4-7 to 2-11 winners over Milltownpass on Sunday morning last.

Multyfarnham 2-4

Our U14 girls hosted Multyfarnham in the park on Sunday evening last in the semi final stages of this year’s championship.

The first half started with great intensity as the teams shared a goal apiece (Lexi Grady pocketing our first three-pointer). Cara O’Neill kicked consecutive scores then, one a point from play and one a goal to put our girls in front. Maeve Noone and Grady added further Caulry points then before Multyfarnham raised their first white flag after twenty minutes. A late flurry of scores from Grady and Grace O’Rourke saw our girls retreat to the dugouts with a 3-5 to 1-1 lead at halftime. 

Multyfarnham restarted the second half well with a duo of points. The opposition reduced the deficit back to five on the 41st minute when they pocketed a goal after owning much of the preceding possession. Our first score of the second half came just at the end of this third quarter when O’Rourke palmed the ball to the back of the net after Gemma Duncan’s initial effort rattled back off the crossbar. Allison White extended our lead then with a trio of points (two from play and one a free). Despite the best efforts of Multyfarnham, our girls had done enough to secure themselves a spot in the final.
