Minor AGM
Our minor AGM takes place this Thursday in the community hall at 7:30pm. All welcome to attend.

Junior B Championship
Caulry
4-7
St. Malachys 4-11
Our juniors bowed out of this year's Junior B championship with a defeat to St. Malachys on Sunday morning last.
It was the homeside who got off the mark first but our lads were the more impressive side of the half as they followed up this point with two goals from the boot of Thomas Dunning. Shane Lawless then kicked out first point on the game on the 7th minute. St Malachys missed some chances before eventually splitting the uprights on the 15th minute. However, this minor dent in the deficit was soon overturned with further points from Liam Malynn and Dunning. Sean Murphy registered our hat-trick on the 19th minute when he found a pocket of the space in the opposition's defence. St. Malachys kicked a duo of points late in the half before Malynn rounded off the scoring to leave our lads in front 4-4 to 0-5 at the break.
Despite this well-cushioned lead, our lads failed to push on, only scoring three points in the second half. Dunning accounted for the first of these on the 33rd minute. This score preceded the homeside's purple patch which yielded an unanswered 4-3 and saw St. Malachys get their noses in front. Tiarnán O'Donovan and Adam Donoghue kept our hopes alive with their points on the 48th and 50th minutes, but credit to the men in black and red as they kept their composure at this point in the game and worked the ball down the field for a point. Our lads were awarded one more lifeline, this in the form of a penalty but unfortunately Malynn couldn't get the better of the St Malachys keeper at this point of asking. St Malachys saw out the half with two late points to ensure their place in the knockout stages.
